Packed!

This morning the Cedar Falls team packed their bags for Haiti! Dad sent the following photos.
The thirteen of us will be serving in a field hospital in Port-au-Prince.

Over $5,500 worth of medication and several thousand dollars worth of medical equipment donated by local medical facilities.

We're also filling any extra space in our suitcases with Beanie Babies to bring to the children.

Thank you to all who have contributed to this trip financially, with prayer, or with Beanie Babies :)

Prayer:

-Safe travel (we fly from Cedar Rapids to Miami on Friday, then on to Haiti on Saturday)

-That the supplies we are bringing will be useful in treating the needs of the patients at the field hospital

-For our hearts to be flexible and serving

-For the internet to work so I can continue to post updates

  1. Thank you for doing this blog! We will be watching it and hoping for news from you. We are praying for you this week as you make hard decisions about what to bring, and as you travel. You and your whole team, and the people of Haiti will be in our hearts and prayers continually as you work. Thank you for bringing hope, love and healing to suffering citizens of our world!
    Love, Robin and Dean

  6. A friend of mine once said:
"Will we embrace the cross of Christ, so they may know the Christ of the cross? In sacrificing our lives, they will get the clearest picture of the love of Christ."

God has blessed His plan, so by going and doing His work (obeying His will), you are already blessed. How great is that? I can't wait to hear all your stories and see your pictures! Until then, I will pray for you and your team, that others may see Christ in you.

    Your brainiac Anja
